Gift for the Future!!

Something that was in my mind few years ago became reality last year. It was my Kid's first birthday and I started my mission to plant over 1000 trees in lifetime. I could have done this anytime but was being reluctant for some reason or another. Most of us need occasion to start or end something special so that the day becomes memorable and I was no different. This is an important journey of my life, just like my kids birthday, and I want to celebrate this with some of my friends and look forward to a gift from them :). We all know all the celebrations are enjoyed better with people around and exchanging gifts is a good idea to celebrate.

We all are used to gifting materialistic things and specially building statues, roads, buildings etc in memory or in honor of someone. I have taken a different route and I will plant (2)^N trees on every birthday of Adi, till he turns 10 (where N is his birthday number). This should help me plant 1024 trees. I plan to plant few extra trees assuming not all will survive, I feel I will be able to complete this mission by the time Adi turns 10. Afterall, isn't this the future we want to leave for our kids instead of concrete Jungles?

As a gift, I want my friends to find their number, their occasion and their formula to plant some trees. It could be someone's birthday or death anniversary or some achievement as occasion and your formula could be exponential like mine or simple multiplication or linear growth or some arithmetic progression or something more interesting like every year you will plant trees based on the index of decimal value from PI or it could be some random number generation.

Whatever it could be, but please find a way to plant trees. Mother Nature is not at risk as it will find a way to survive, its our kids and their future which is at stake. There are organisation who will take care of the trees you plant, just reach out to them for help.

Gift young kids a future which they enjoy as they grow alongwith some materialistic gifts which will only be relevant for few months.
